Zidane

I'm not someone who watches soccer a lot, but that Zidane... what a disgrace! No matter what happens, headbutting someone is simply 'not done' in my book.

Aaaahaha! I didn't even know headbutting was a word, but yes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headbutt. (but seriously, yes, that is a disgrace).
On top of that, it went "into space" in more than one way: I was watching Nasa's live feed of STS-121 and heard it there, but only several hours later (the astronauts didn't even know they were on the big screen, they were quite happily surprised when they were told).

I stumbled across your blog while I was doing some online research. I totally agree with you that his behavior was utterly unacceptable. Whatever happened to good sportsmanship?

Zidane Game

All players trade insults of every kind. All sorts of bad play happens such as dives, shirt pulling and holding. None of this is right.

However direct premediated attacks like what Zidane did is not accepatable for any reason, no matter what was said to him. Deal with it after the game.

Many seem to either not know or forget that Zidane seems to have a "good" record of being red carded for dangerous offences before, including head butting and stomping.

Perhaps because he was such a fantastic player of the ball his other short comings were being overlooked all this time. Players who have this sort of record should be banned for life from all play everywhere irrespective of how good a player of the ball they are. The game is bigger than the player.

None of you people seem to play in any sports ... well, you know when you're playing an exciting game and really going for it (i don't mean geeks playing WOW) there's something like ADRENALINE, and when a person is offending you really really harsh it's natural behaviour to act in that way, it may not be right, but you have to realize, humans are animals! By the way, these are football-players ... they're not pussies ... if you think that was shocking, well then you haven't seen a lot of this world ...
