Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy: Review

A while ago I wrote about being thrilled to hear that one of my favourite books, the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, was being made into a movie.  It now seems the movie is almost done and ready for distribution, but this review makes me fear the worst.  MJ Simpson completely tears down the movie, pointing out that 'almost all the jokes' were stripped out, and many changes were made to the plot that make no sense.

Oh, well, the book is just too good, somebody is bound to make a proper movie out of it eventually...

Just watched the movie trailer of the upcoming film version of one of my favourite books ever: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.  Woah!

In true HHTTG style they give the HHTTG's definition of 'movie trailer', thus subtly mocking themselves.  Have a look...

Back-porch Airshow

I just got home from visiting a potential customer, and what do I see out of the rear window of our house?  A bunch of A-10 Warthogs, probably training on the airforce targetting range not so far from here.  So I grabbed my camera (got to love 10X zoom lenses) and snapped some pictures.  I even shot some video (A10_above_house.wmv) where you can actually hear one of these planes shooting (not the one in the video).  I hear this sound very often, by the way, and it sounds truly impressive, like a giant farting, or an enourmous drill making a hole in a huge wall.

 

 

Michael Moore Falsifies Headline? Say It Ain't So!

It seems the Vast-Right-Wing-Conspiracy has caused a non-existent newspaper headline to appear in Farenheit 911... It has to have been them, because Michael Moore would never lie or distort, now would he?
